At Bespoke Tax we are committed to protecting your privacy. We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures in order to protect your personal rights and data, which is explained below in our policy details.
Information We Collect from You
To enable us to discharge our services under our engagement it will be necessary for us to process your personal data. This includes contact data and financial data that is relevant to our work. We will only process data that is absolutely essential for the completion of our duties, as well as limiting the access to personal data to those needing to carry out the processing. Data will only be held for the minimum amount of time that is necessary, before it is erased.
Handling Children’s Data
If our client is under the age of 16, this requires consent from the parent/guardian before we can process their data.
The processing of data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, and the processing of genetic data, biometric data, data concerning health or data concerning a natural person’s sex life or sexual orientation will be strictly acquired under explicit consent for a specific purpose.
When sharing your personal data with yourself or any agreed third parties in an electronic format, the data will be password protected. We will notify you of your personal password at the beginning of our engagement.
You hold the right to:
- Access your data free of charge in a machine-readable format.
- Ask when, where, how and for what purpose is your data being processed.
- Have your data rectified if it is inaccurate or incomplete within one month of your request, or two months if the rectification is complex.
- Have your data erased (within the legal and regulatory requirements of retaining records for statutory requirements, for example retention of tax records).
- Block your data from being processed.
- Withdraw consent to your data being processed for any purpose.
- Complain to a supervisory authority; details of this are found below.
You may exercise any of the rights list above by contacting us on 01242 505970 or by emailing email@example.com.
In the event of a data breach, you will be notified without undue delay and this will be within 72 hours of Bespoke first having become aware of the breach.
We may use your personal information to contact you with newsletters or marketing materials and other information that may be of interest or relevant to you. You may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or instructions in any email we send.
We may use third parties to support us in providing our services and to help provide, run and manage internal IT systems. For example, we use Abbey Tax Limited to offer fee protection against HMRC investigations and we use Informanagement to send out newsletters on our behalf. When data is shared in this manner, we ensure that third parties are General Data Protection Regulation compliant.
