Due to the expansion of the office, we are looking to extend the partnership team with the appointment of two new partners; a mixed tax partner and a corporate tax partner. Each new partner should participate in equity within 18 to 24 months.
These are amazing opportunities for existing senior tax managers to take the first steps into partnership or an existing partner looking for a new challenge.
Further partner appointments are anticipated in two to four years’ time.
Mixed Tax Partner
The Role:
The partner will lead the existing team of 13 tax professionals. The position can be tailored to the individual’s experience and aspirations. The partner will need to give advice to a wide range of private clients and business types from UHNW entrepreneurs, owners of long standing family companies, accompanied by a broad knowledge of financial planning. The role is approximately 80% client interaction, mainly planning and advisory; the other 20% dealing with complex compliance maters and assisting the team.

Corporate Tax Partner
The Role:
The corporation tax computations are prepared by the accounts team and reviewed by the corporation tax manager. The computations and routine compliance is completed by the accounts manager. All advice is given by the corporate tax senior manager and existing partners.
The firm has a considerable exposure to SEIS/EIS, advising on around £100m worth of projects a year and on a number of Research and Development expenditure claims, including historically the largest in the South West.
CT and general commercial advice is given on c £100m of non-EIS qualifying transactions annually.
The partner could be a lead in this role, dealing with the increasing volume of transactions; predominantly owner manager businesses. To a considerable degree, the partner would have the freedom to develop the role around their interests and experience with some compliance work, but predominantly advisory.
